10 Things I Learned My First Year of Marriage

WOW that went by in the blink of an eye. I feel like just yesterday I was alone at our venue, sitting in the dressing room and asking God to prepare…

TEN MONTHS with Lainey Rae 🤍 She loves being si TEN MONTHS with Lainey Rae 🤍 She loves being silly & making us laugh with her kissy faces (swipe to see) 🤪 She can take baby steps but prefers to twirl on her booty, and my fav thing is her recent discovery of “roaring” on command 🦁 She adds so much joy & laughter to our days 😂

As usual, I’m sharing a day in the life on my stories today! See ya there 👋🏻
✨2️⃣7️⃣✨ and just really thankful. Tha ✨2️⃣7️⃣✨ and just really thankful. Thankful for the sweet moments, ordinary moments & refining moments. Thankful for the moments of surrender & the ones worth celebrating.

Thankful for all the people who took time out of their day to call or message me from states away. No matter how long it’s been since we’ve seen each other, thanks for being in my corner. If this is even just the tiniest little taste of heaven, man what a gift. 💗
*currently singing baby shark* 🦈 Anyone wanna t *currently singing baby shark* 🦈 Anyone wanna tell me why this girl thinks she can take her first steps at 9 months like her sissy? I’ll be over here pushing her down (kidding!!!) Anybody else have early walkers? 🤪
I’m crazy enough to homeschool my three-year old I’m crazy enough to homeschool my three-year old because her brain is a literal sponge 🧽 and she thrives with a structured day! 👏🏻

What activities do you like to do with your little ones?!
Mama, they see you. They see you squeezing in a w Mama, they see you.

They see you squeezing in a workout after laying them down to nap.

They see you spending time in the Word before the sun comes up.

They see you treating others with kindness, and others maybe with not-so-kindness.

They see you talking to yourself in the mirror.

They see you celebrating good news and mourning bad news.

They see you mindlessly scrolling on your phone.

I try to remind myself daily to lead by example and think about what these little eyes see and pick up on.

Because even at such a young age, they are always watching & learning. 🫶🏻
Some recent thoughts on our move 🏡👇🏻 Dol Some recent thoughts on our move 🏡👇🏻

Dolly and I keep wondering how soon is too soon to get some chickens for our coop 🐓

I cannot wait to finally decorate a room for Lainey 🤩

I’m also curious how long it’ll take for us to find enough furniture to fill this house 🛋️

How many days (dare I say, weeks… or months? 🥴) will it be before we unpack every single box?

How many boxes will we be able to fit in the attic? 🤔

Everyone keeps asking if we’re “settled” yet… there are still boxes everywhere and a lot to do here, but somehow my heart is settled because it’s already home. ❤️
Girl power 🌸🧡🌼💖 Ever since I can remem Girl power 🌸🧡🌼💖 Ever since I can remember, I’d always imagined my first baby to be a boy. Then I met my husband, who comes from several generations of all boys, so I was convinced I would be a boy mom.

I was completely shocked when we saw pink smoke at my first baby’s gender reveal. Then the second time around when the ultrasound tech said “yep, she’s definitely a girl,” after we had been told both genders, I realized my gut intuition has been right 0/2 times. 🤣

Being a girl mom comes with a ton of pressure — how will we deal with all the feelings and emotions? Friendship drama and gossip? Not to mention the fact that our society has impossible standards for women these days.

I pray that our girls would know their identity in Christ. That they would be bold and strong, but also cautious, and find discernment from the Lord. That they would be kind to others and have a gentle heart.

Who knows? Maybe someday we’ll have a boy, but for now, being a girl mom ROCKS and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. 💖

Plus, girl clothes are so much more fun to shop for (but I’m 100% biased 😉) Happy International Women’s Day 🫶🏻
This past week has been a whirlwind — unpacking This past week has been a whirlwind — unpacking the house with littles trailing at my feet has felt like climbing a mountain blindfolded 😅

By the end of the day, I’ve found myself physically exhausted and mentally drained. I get easily frustrated with my kids, who are so undeserving of my bad attitude.

But the last few days we’ve pulled out the stroller for a walk, and it’s almost like a reset button. We all get to enjoy some fresh air, watch the Lord paint the sky, and pray for all the homes we pass by.

And we’ve met the friendliest NEIGHbors (swipe to see 🐴)

Is there anything you do to press “reset” in the midst of busy days?
