I take about one solo selfie a year, so here it is I take about one solo selfie a year, so here it is 🤪 There are lots of new faces around here, so I thought I’d introduce myself with 10 facts about me!
⁣
🩰 I was a dancer for 18 years
⁣
🌍 I studied abroad in Europe 2 months before my wedding
⁣
💍 I got married at 20
⁣
🤠 I’ve lived in Texas my entire life, then moved to both Missouri & Florida last year
⁣
🎶 I only listen to worship or country music
⁣
☀️ I will always take 100° heat over winter any day
⁣
❤️ I’m very loyal (to a fault sometimes)
⁣
👶🏼 I’ve always wanted to be a momma with a bunch of babies
⁣
🌹 I have a love/hate relationship with The Bachelor. Just like I do with jeans haha
⁣
🌿 I’d like to say I’m an outdoorsy person, but maybe just without the bugs
⁣
Did we just become best friends?! (or not so much lol) tell me something about you in the comments!
What’s on your to-do list this week? Dolly’s f What’s on your to-do list this week? Dolly’s feeling a bit under the weather, so we’re hanging out at home — changing from our nighttime pjs to our daytime pjs, if you know what I mean 🌚🌝
They said: “Enjoy your freedom before you get ma They said:
“Enjoy your freedom before you get married.”
“The honeymoon phase will come to an end.”
“Life won’t be the same after kids.”
⁣
But you know what’s beautiful? At the end of every season, I fall in love with this man even more. The more responsibilities we have, the more I love and respect him.
⁣
Our relationship has gained so much more richness as I watch my devoted husband become a devoted daddy. And that’s worth it to me. ❤️
Excuse me miss, can I get that outfit in my size? Excuse me miss, can I get that outfit in my size? 😉
⁣
Dolly all of a sudden outgrew all her clothes in the same week, so I’m in the process of re-stocking her closet 🛍 What are some of your favorite places to shop for your littles?!
I’ve been praying about if, when, or how I shoul I’ve been praying about if, when, or how I should share this, because it can be a sensitive topic. But there may be someone else walking through a difficult season who needs some encouragement.
⁣
TTC (trying to conceive) isn’t always easy. This time around has been an emotional rollercoaster for me — with each month that goes by, feelings of hope and defeat repeat over and over (I shared a bit about this on my stories today).
⁣
I got to a point where I would scroll through Instagram and NO posts would please me:
Why is that momma’s pregnancy so easy?
Why isn’t she struggling?
Why is the mom of two complaining about her kids?
She should be grateful...
⁣
But then I realized that *I* was the one who needed to be grateful. I was letting jealousy and resentment into my heart, just because somebody else was one step ahead of me. I’ve always said that I want my Instagram page to be an encouragement to others, but it started to become difficult to do so when I was feeling defeated myself.
⁣
So I took a break. There were a few months where all I did was post my own photos, respond to messages, and nothing else. And honestly, I might continue doing so. I even had to mute a few accounts of friends I truly care about, because I didn’t want to see the highlight reels of their lives. AND THAT’S OKAY.
⁣
Throughout those months, I was able to reset and rediscover the joys of friendship, motherhood and steadfast worship so that I can be a better steward of this space. While I’ve found comfort in God’s sovereignty, that doesn’t mean each pregnancy or birth announcement doesn’t sting when I see it.
⁣
Ultimately, I want to bring hope and encouragement to this space, cheering you on in whatever season you’re in, and I can only do that with Jesus. And I plan to share more about what he’s been teaching me lately, but it’s too much for just one little caption. So stay tuned. 🤍
Maybe if I stop taking pictures of her, she’ll s Maybe if I stop taking pictures of her, she’ll stop looking like a teenager... right? Is that how it works? 😅🆘 this little mama needs to stop growing up!!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from the Ins If there’s one thing I’ve learned from the Instagram world, it’s this: I must fill up my own cup in order to overflow to others.
⁣
I always hope to make my little corner of the internet an encouraging space, but it’s difficult to do so when I’m pouring from an empty cup.
⁣
So I’ve decided that I’m going to put more effort into taking care of myself and those around me first.
⁣
My word of the year for 2021 will be NURTURE: the process of caring for and encouraging the growth or development of someone or something.
⁣
I want to nurture my physical health by staying active and strengthening my body.
⁣
I want to nurture my home by making it a place where everyone feels welcome.
⁣
I want to nurture my faith by prioritizing the Lord in all seasons.
⁣
I want to nurture my relationships by checking-in on friends and cheering them on.
⁣
I want to nurture my hobbies by giving myself time to learn and grow.
