I know I’ve mentioned it before, but everything happened so much sooner this pregnancy — which means I got VERY uncomfortable so much sooner too, but I guess I’m one of those crazy people who enjoys being pregnant, even with how hard it is on my body. If you haven’t already, you can read through my first and second trimester blog post updates to get caught up on everything that’s been happening these past 9 months!
WEEKLY UPDATES
WEEK 27
Shortness of breath
Also eating a lot more this week
WEEK 28
I had my glucose test this week, and I shared some info about the glucola drink on my Instagram story (you can click here to watch in my highlights)
WEEK 29
Spurts of energy & feeling productive
Back pain (probably from being *too* productive)
Heartburn was bad this week
WEEK 30
So tired, but also insomnia. Waking multiple times a night
Hardcore nesting/spring cleaning mode
Baby girl is officially head down, which didn’t happen until I was 35 weeks with Dolly… it’s crazy how each pregnancy is so different!
WEEK 31
Our whole family got food poisoning, so that was fun…
WEEK 32
Even more shortness of breath
I had my baby shower this week! I’ll share some photos at the bottom of this post.
WEEK 33
Extremely tired
Heartburn keeping me up at night
Back pain & painful kicks. Baby girl is usually head down and kicking my right hip/ribs.
WEEK 34
Officially uncomfortable all the time
Baby officially dropped, so LOTS of pelvic pain
Feeling more “crampy” contractions
WEEK 35
Sciatica pain – this was new for me this pregnancy
Constant back pain
Waking in the middle of the night to pains
WEEK 36
Feeling VERY low by the end of the day
Hard to walk
Installed baby girl’s car seat & got the rest of the baby stuff out of the attic!
WEEK 37
Light-headed and dizzy a few times – probably from overdoing it
More sciatica & lightening crotch
Lower back pain
Hard to sit down
Officially in the “prodromal labor” stage
WEEK 38
More labor pains daily
Drinking lots of water (with sonic ice!)
Heartburn
Bursts of energy
On Mother’s Day I was actually having bad back labor pain all day – we had to leave lunch early so I could lay down the rest of the day
WEEK 39
More crampy contractions, back pain & heartburn
Forgot to take my nausea meds one day, and yep. I’m still nauseous. It officially lasted my entire pregnancy.
Baby girl’s legs are now on my left side, and the kicks are so painful they bring tears to my eyes.
WEEK 40
For the few days I made it over 40 weeks, I was feeling fine
Still having contractions, but they weren’t painful
I either had bursts of energy or was extremely fatigued
(Baby girl was born at 40+3!)
Here are some photos from my baby shower. I felt so thankful for friends that have become family, who love on me and my girls, and hosted an incredible baby shower brunch!

Stay tuned for baby girl’s birth story!!
