Happy due date, baby girl 💕 Your sister, daddy Happy due date, baby girl 💕 Your sister, daddy & I can’t wait to meet you, so come on out whenever you’re ready! Now taking birthday guesses on when she’ll make her appearance 🎂 Did your babies come early/late/on-time?
When we’re always hungry for approval, whether f When we’re always hungry for approval, whether from ourselves or others, we lose sight of the most important things in life, don’t we?

We stay so busy and try to hold up our accomplishments and display them on the mantle, because that’s what we think makes us worthy.

But we’re never going to be able to rest physically from a racing mind or restless spirit if we’re not able to rest spiritually.

We can look at Mary and Martha as a perfect example of this — when Jesus visited, Martha remained distracted by all the preparations needing to be done, while Mary rested at his feet.

I always love reading about how he responded to her with, “Martha, Martha,” because I sense so much graciousness and gentleness from Him. 🖤

Are you resting at His feet more often than you are working for the approval that He has already offered you at the cross?
Just wait until the third trimester when you’re Just wait until the third trimester when you’re huge and uncomfortable.

Just wait until you’re in labor and you’re begging for an epidural.

Just wait until you’re running on three hours of sleep and your kids are demanding your attention.

Just wait until you never have time for yourself anymore.

Since the day I announced my first pregnancy 3+ years ago, the comments have been nonstop. I get it. Seasoned moms want to warn the first-timers of the hardships that come with raising little people, but why do we only focus on the negatives?

Find moms who are dancing up the path ahead of you and shouting from the mountaintops:

Just wait until you meet your baby for the first time and you feel the incredible joy of bringing a new soul into the world.

Just wait until you’re nursing and snuggling your newborn in the middle of the night, and you realize your love for them is greater than anything you could imagine.

Just wait until you see the way your husband pours out his love and fulfills his role as a father.

Just wait until you get to watch your little one discover the world in wonder and curiosity.

There are definitely parts of motherhood that aren’t easy. But I think we would all be a little more motivated to raise up our children in godliness and goodness if we encouraged each other along the way. 🤍 Happy Mother’s Day!
She is a soul. Beneath those blue eyes, blonde ha She is a soul.

Beneath those blue eyes, blonde hair and strong will, she is a soul.

So often I get caught up thinking I answer to society or a cultural norm for my parenting decisions… but it is so much bigger than that.

I answer to her Creator who entrusted me with a soul HE formed with exquisite detail and the deepest care — to teach, protect and love.

At the end of the day, she isn't a child that I can parent to fit someone else’s opinions or plans for her.

She is a soul with eternal value. And I am a steward, honored with this life and humbly praying for guidance, until the day I stand before a powerful God and answer to him.

She is a soul. And God chose me to be her mama. 💕
It’s officially baby month!! 🥰 I remember pra It’s officially baby month!! 🥰 I remember praying daily for this baby, but feeling like the world was working against me — like maybe my dream of having more kids was worthless or my body wasn’t meant to have any more.

There were some days it felt like God didn’t care or even hear my prayers. “Lord, I pray for another baby. I pray we get pregnant soon. If not, I know you are good and your plans will prosper.” But it became harder to say those words as time went on, because it was honestly harder to believe them.

All I saw on social media were pregnancy announcements. All I heard from friends was how difficult their multiple kids are to take care of. It was easy to find myself resentful.

But God is faithful. This baby is already so so so loved, and worth every month of heartache. The answer to my prayers.

To the momma going through the pain of longing for another baby: I see you. My inbox is open if you need someone to listen. 🤎

Even though it’ll be a big change, I know Dolly is going to be the sweetest big sissy! Share your tips for introducing siblings after they’re born 🤍
