8 Ways To Gently Detox Your Body and Home | Meekly Loving by Sydney Meek

We just came back from traveling over the holidays, so I’ve been playing catch-up all week! I’m pretty lax with the foods we eat while traveling for the sake of convenience, but I can tell we all need a little gut reset when we get back home.

Whether you’ve been traveling or dealing with the stomach bug, or just feel like your body and/or home need a little reset, here are 8 simple things I do or make sure we have on hand (or grab at the store the next day) for a gentle detox.

  1. Open the windows and light beeswax candles to clear the air that’s been sitting stagnant and filter out toxins.
  2. Give my kids a detox bath with magnesium salts, bentonite clay, and apple cider vinegar.
  3. Replenish nutrients with our favorite gummy vitamins from Llama Naturals. They’re made with real fruit and no junky ingredients! Use my code SYDNEYMEEK for 20% off.
  4. Make elderberry syrup with local honey. I get the DIY elderberry kits from Purely Parsons, since they’re loaded with organic antioxidants and immune-boosting ingredients. Use my code SYDNEY for 10% off.
  5. Make detox smoothies with lots of vitamin c fruits and juices along with cilantro, which absorbs heavy metals.
  6. Add good quality electrolytes to our water. Just Ingredients is my go-to brand with tons of flavors made from real fruit and a 3:1 potassium to sodium ratio. Use my code SYDNEYMEEK for 10% off.
  7. Add Sufficient-C drink mix to our electrolyte water or smoothies for an extra immune boost. I get mine from Urban Farm Collection!
  8. End with an easy cleanser dinner of sausage and veggies. Sometimes I’ll add rice or potatoes, but more often than not our bodies need a break from carbs and starches.

I hope this is helpful! Let me know if you try any of these. I’d love to hear what helps you and your family, too!
