Last weekend we celebrated Lainey’s FIRST rodeo & Dolly’s FOURTH! Both of our girls love farm animals, so I thought it would be fun to combine that with an Independence Day theme since it’s summer! From blowing bubbles to sliding on the splash pad to catching fireflies, we partied ‘til the cows came home (literally… they showed up at our house — see the bottom of this post) Keep scrolling for all the party details!

I made the invitations myself! If you’re planning a party with the same theme and would like to purchase a customized digital file of the invite, you can send me an email at hello@meeklyloving.com.

The rainbow sprinkler and waterslide were a hit! We got ours from the Hearthsong brand, but I found similar ones on amazon here & here.

Another fun activity I feel like every baby-toddler party should include is a bubble station! We have this bubble machine, and I also made some DIY bubble blowers out of patriotic straws by taping five of them together.

OUTFIT DETAILS
- Party in the USA t-shirts
- American Mama t-shirt
- American Cutie Two Piece Swimsuit
- American Cutie Swimsuit
- Patriotic Star Temporary Tattoos
- Party favors: Cowboy Hats & Bandanas and Beaded Necklaces

These hats were so fun and easy to make (especially since neither one of my girls wore them for that long before jumping onto the splash pad). All I did was hot glue sequin tiaras from hobby lobby (linked here & here) to some kids white felt cowboy hats — you could easily replace with ribbon, sequins/glitter, feathers, beads, whatever you decide!

I found most of our decor at either Hobby Lobby or Party City, but I’ve linked similar items below if you’d rather shop online! The patriotic truck artwork is from Tailored Canvases (you can use my code “SYD15” for 15% off!) We actually had another canvas of theirs hanging in the same place, which left me with two extra nails on each side, so I added the DIY wooden stars. They were so simple to make and a fun way to get your kids involved! Have them paint some jumbo popsicle sticks (here is a link to my favorite nontoxic finger paint), add some hot glue, and hang with twine!

An all-American party calls for all-American food! Here are some easy finger food ideas:
- Burgers
- Hot dogs
- Pigs in blankets
- Chips & dip
- Fruit kabobs (we used these star cookie cutters for the watermelon)
- Bomb pops
- Cookie cake
- Smores
This is the playlist I put together for the party! You can click here to find it on Spotify. We’ll be listening to it throughout the rest of summer. 🇺🇲

The party ended with surprise visitors! 🐄 I don’t know where they came from or how they got to our house, but Dolly said it was the best part of the weekend!
